Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Leaving Manzute - on the road to San Cristobal, Chiapas

We head out of Manzute - with the 25 gallons of veggie oil we've collected - and head toward San Cristobal, our next big stop.

We will take two days to reach San Cristobal, as we have to stop to filter the oil, and it is a long way, about 6 hours at least.

We drive to yet another small town outside Juchitan, where we go to the market and spend too much money on wonderful food.

We have a great, long conversation with two womyn close to our age, all in Spanish!

We try to find a place to park for the nite in this little town but are unsuccessful. We are told there is a huge Pemex 5 kilometers down the road - which turns out to be 25 kilometers. We pull in after dark, play several hands of cards - I win! - and spend the nite peacefully after adjusting to the gale force winds, dogs barking, and music blaring!
