Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

What's christian about bush - the end

I've arrived in Oakland after being on the road for 5 or 6 awesome weeks, the last couple weeks or so Rae joined me on the journey back from NYC. We've lots of footage for a fabulous video after asking people, especially wimmin, across the country: "What is christian re:bush?" We've registered over 60 voters, plus or minus, in 4 swing states and spoke with countless folks. Many republicans told us they were not going to vote for bush this time; many told us they were not voting period this time; many told us they were confused about what was really the truth, giving us the opportunity to inform them of what the truth really is.
Yes.
Many democrats spoke of their frustrations with  Kerry and the media not covering him in any fair or accurate way; many spoke of their fears of republican violence in their communities as well as their fears of bush's violence in our nation and world. Several undecided voters decided to swing our way!!! Yeah! A couple of folks parted enemies - I regret losing my temper on those occasions.....
And several folks in many small towns will have a topic for conversation in the many years to come!
AND, remember, many, many, many more folks were positive  and happy to see us then those who were disgruntled and angry!!!
Stay tuned - we're going to figure out how to get the video on the internet for your viewing pleasure! AND we're going back on the road Thursday or Friday - it's off to the wee state of Ohio until voter registration deadline; and then to Florida for the duration!
Keep the faith, work hard, stay in tune and remember, if you want to support the work we're doing, we do need your help. I got several tickets in NYC, ugh, not to mention costs. Do you know in several states you have to pay postage to mail the voter registration forms? AND you have to figure out the address where to send it to! UFB! Another huge cost is fuel - I try to only buy biodiesel whenever it is available - the money cost is always at least a dollar more than fuckin diesel, around $3.50 per gallon; but the cost to our environment is minimal compared to diesel – not to mention the wars we are waging in order to capture petroleum from other countries.
